MYFDB.com Showing He Some Love...

Doesn’t it feel like men’s fashion perspectives have been neglected lately? I think it’s time to give the guys some credit, which is why we’re featuring an amazing blog called, Fashion by HE for this week’s edition of Weekend Read.

Fashion by HE talks all things style through a GUYS point of view: ”[the blog] was created by a fashion and stylist expert in an effort to pass along his knowledge to the world. He has absolutely no training and comes to this post with little to no knowledge about fashion, yet somehow HE manages to captivate the attention of millions everyday.”

This blog is not only captivating, but insightful and hilarious as well. I especially love the NYC fashion mishap posts (proof that the fashion capital is human after all). His stark attitude and ever-present opinion is much needed and quite refreshing. I can’t forget the Shoe-of-the-Week and Hott HE-of-the-Week posts either, “HE” has great taste in both! So head on over to Fashion by HE this weekend for a fresh perspective on fashion in the blogosphere! -MYFDB.com

What better way to start the weekend then some FbyHe Love...just the continuing story of a King and the ArmHe dominating the fashion world.

The Men's Wearhouse Experience...

As previously posted, Fashion by He got the experience of a lifetime, and In-Store Experience at Men's Wearhouse. He got the visit the Chelsea store location in NYC.

Men's Wearhouse has become one of the largest specialty retailers of men's apparel in the country, with more than 900stores carrying a full selection of designer and private-label suits, sport coats, casualwear, and accessories.

Upon walking into the store, He was instantly greeting by store Manager James and Style Consultant Michael. When you are welcomed in Men's Wearhouse there is an instant friend vibe, the people working there aren't typical sales guys, they WANT to help you look good.

We started in the suit section of the store, and there were options all over the place. Michael did a quick measure of He, and went right to the suit rack to pick a suit. He knew right away He wanted a gray suit, so Michael pulled three options from the rack. Bam, first suit He tried on was the one.

Next was a sports coat. He has always read, "buy a blue sports coat, and tailor the sh*t out of it." Michael was ready to go with options, blue, black, hounds tooth, He had it all. You might be thinking right about now, "Men's Wearhouse? Really? Don't they just have MW suits?" Well let He tell you this, brand name clothing all over the place and at awesome prices. He ended up with a great looking Calvin Klein blazer. Can you say -- $100!
In case you were ever wondering about whether or not chicks like guys in suits. Well they do. Here is the proof: The Well-Dressed Men Survey.

After buying up the store, He was taken to the changing room, where it was time to meet the tailor. This guy went to town. Got the Suit, The Blazer, and Two Button Down Shirts Tailored.
"Every guy needs variety in their closet." Men's Wearhouse has been and will continue to be the He-go-to-location for all He's suits, sport coats, blazers, ties, and accessories.
They guaranteed He would like the way He looked. Sure enough, He liked the way He looked. He guarantees it.

Gifts for the Men...Ideas from Professionals!

2011 is already bringing big things Fashion by He's way and its still only 2010. One of the big things will be a collaboration between Fashion by He and Men's Wearhouse. As a prequel to the big things coming He thought this would be a good time to do a mini holiday gift guide for the men in the ArmHe, or for the ladies who need ideas for the men in their lives. All members of the ArmHe should feel free to send He holiday gifts.

Holiday Tips from the Experts at Men's Wearhouse:

    1. Layering and luxury fabrics: Classic layering is definitely in this winter, with a laid-back and versatile feel. Keep the cold out with a dress shirt paired with a 100 percent cashmere V-neck sweater or a faux-suede sport coat for a more casual winter look. A vintage zip-front Sherpa collar sweater can add a shot of rugged to jeans or khakis, as well as an added boost of warmth.

    2. Mix and match with color: Whether his style is trendy or understated, try menswear in dark earth tones, shades of purple, and classics such as navy, charcoal, and black. Pairing separates like a charcoal wool trouser with a black sport coat allows for flexibility with items he may already have — simply make it fresh with a new shirt or coordinating tie in a jewel-tone accent.

    3. Business by day, party by night: Looks that can easily transition from work to evening are great for the man on the go. Wearing a dark, pinstriped wool suit with flat-front trousers can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Spice up the look with paisley ties or incorporate unusual colors to make a drab winter day more colorful. The perfect stocking stuffer, ties are a fun way to express a man’s personality without a major investment (neckwear prices start at $19.99).

Click read more to read more after the break.

    4. Modern military: Military-inspired looks are all the rage this winter. Look for sharp military apparel such as buttons, exposed zippers, and shoulder detail with epaulets and stitching. Try a gunmetal gray no-iron shirt from Joseph Abboud with flat-front navy wool slacks.

    5. Designer denim: Dark denim is ideal for casual workdays or weekends, making it a comfortably stylish and always versatile gift. In addition to offering a vast selection of leading brands in formalwear and suits, Men’s Wearhouse offers a variety of designer jeans, including Lucky, Buffalo, and Pronto Uomo.

    6. Slimmer fits: A growing trend this winter is a modern slimmer-fitting suit. The two-button, side-vent, flat-front suit is the top choice right now and can be flattering for most men. Try top brands such as Calvin Klein, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole and Tommy Hilfiger.

    READER EMAIL: Who Invented Jeggings...???

Inventing JEGGINGS was a great idea but I'm not average size and every time I go 2 try on a pair they're simply not long enough. Just asking if u could make them n tall sizes. I'm sure I'm not the only 1. Please and THX n advance. -tawonia

For everyone and anyone who happens to come across this blog, and for the many others idolizing He for the invention of Jeggings...Let's all get on the same page right now, as great and amazing as He, and yes He is the King of Fashion, so therefore all ideas invented under the leadership of He, are technically He's ideas anyway. HE DID NOT INVENT JEGGINGS. HE has only ever had one really awesome ideas as good as good as Jeggings, you can read about it here. Yes He is brilliant and should have thought of inventing Jeggings, but sadly He did not. Not sure why so many people think He actually invented jeggings, but they do. Pretty sure if He had invented jeggings, He would be sitting on a beach right now surrounding by hot girls in jeggings, not blogging every day trying to take over the world. Let's not forget He is a big fan of jeggings.
    -He

P.S. Guess a big thank you to everyone who thinks He was clever enough to invent jeggings.

    He Loves He Some Hater-ade...

Yesterday He received a wonderful comment from emillinerozzari. Which you will be able to read below. Since He loves getting comments so much, and even more enjoys when people flip their sh*t, He decided this would be a great comment to break down for the ArmHe, and additional a great attempt to make emillinerozzari look like a fool. Let's Do This...
(Comments in italics, He comments in bold.)

okay, i have scrolled this far and really have to say - apart from your campaign to put the UGLY in UGG there isnt much worth reading on here and im disappointed to be frank. you sound too hoity and are putting down key trends in favour of glitter and vulgarity! Well Emillinerozzari. Thank you for your opinion, all-be it wrong, He does appreciate what the readers have to say. He believe that if you took the time to read deeper into the blog, He is more then just "hoity." He doesn't just put down "key trends" He actually attempts to bring out the foolishness in them. But thanks again for the support.

for example - that simply divine leather 'armour' is not about function, its about form, which IS fashion. besides which its CLEARLY for layering...Sooo..what your saying is form is fashion? Got it, thanks for the education. Does any form mean fashion? Because this Furry Oversized Jacket has form, but He is confident no one thinks this is good fashion. You say that this armour is for layering. He doesn't care how much layering you do with that armour, you will still look ridiculous, but hey thanks for playing.

why dont you indulge readers in things that you like rather than childish photos edited with Paint. Thanks for bringing this up, because it allows He to tell you that there is whole section on Fashion by He called YES PLEASE, all items and people He likes, imagine that. As far as "childish edited photos" - well that's a personal insult, He takes all of He's artwork very seriously. And He is proud of He's 3rd grade artwork education, thank you very much.

perhaps take some street fashion photos when you see a good outfit? and stop referring to yourself in theird person until you garner that respect and don't just sound like you have airs of grandeur. Good outfits, He thinks we discussed this in the last paragraph. "Theird person" How DARE YOU. "Garner respect" Respect is taken not it's earned..."airs of grandeur" What is this word you speak of? May you refer to the description of this blog where He has proclaimed He-self the KING OF FASHION, pretty sure that garners some respect, and at least allows He to speak about He-self in the theird person (ps. it's spelled third, even He knows that and He cannot spell for sh*t)

please take this as constructive crit - I work for a mainstream fashion publication. He doesn't take constructive criticism, He gives it. And Whoopie f*cking dooo... you work for a "mainstream fashion publication" here is your virtual pat on the back. Hows the mail room working out for you. Sunny this time of year?
    -He out

    Happy Thanksgiving...

In addition to being thankful for Fashion by He, the #1 Fashion Blog from a Guys POV in the World, what else is the ArmHe thankful for? He is Thankful for every single member of the ArmHe and all the continued support they show He daily. Taking a Fall Break, Back Monday!
    Thanks

FbyHe Needs a Fashion by She...

He has been saying for a while now after a He comes, then a She will arrive. He is looking for the next great blogger to fill the roles and take over Fashion by She. She must be a dedicated, goodlooking, He approved kinda girl. He has no idea what kind of blog Fashion by She will become, He is going to leave that up to She to figure out. What He does know is that it can be similar to FbyHe, it can be full of your own outfit posts, witty humor, street pictures, anything and everything, hell it can be your current blog that we just change over to FbyShe. As you can see Fashion by She is pretty much up and ready to go; just needs someone to start posting.

So you want to be a She? Easy. Email fashionbyhe@gmail.com and pretty much blow his mind. Tell He your plan for Fashion by She, include a link to your blog if you have one, a writting sample, pictures, pretty much anything you think will help you get the position. Do not just sent your resume, He doesn't care, send something that is going to win He over. He is also not against having a team of girls make up the position of She. Let's see what is out there, anyone ready to take on the position of Fashion by She?
