Kate Winslet And Sam Mendes Will Do What’s Best For The Kids
Thank goodness we are not seeing this go down an ugly road, like so many celebrity divorces do. Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes are staying amicable and trying to work on what’s best for the kids. In fact, Kate is moving her 7 year old son and 10 year old daughter back to London while he films the next Bond movie.
“It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”
Kate adds that the two are on such good terms she would not even be opposed to working with him professionally.
“I can see us working together again – that’s the way it is.You know, usually I don’t believe people who have just divorced when they say things like they “respect and admire” the other person. But for some reason, I’m buying it from Kate. If you have friends that divorced, have they remained on good terms with their exes or are they more along the lines of a Mel Gibson/Oksana Grigorieva situation?
“We’re really good friends and have very good respect for each other. I can see it, but you’d have to ask Sam what he thinks.”
